About the Street Food Tour
Our Phan Thiet by Night street food tour will bring you to the most mouth-watering eateries that only the locals know. Your guide for the tour, Tien, will take you wandering through a totally ‘untouristy’ side of town to sample local specialties, fresh fruits, and even some traditional banana wine (also known as “happy water”!).
Whilst being shown around by your real-deal local guide, you’ll get the chance to learn about more than just food, but also what it’s like to live (and eat!) in Phan Thiet just like the Vietnamese do.
As you munch on tender banh can (pancakes with meatball sauce) and salty rang muc (toasted squid), you’ll also meet with the smiling locals who lovingly prepared each bite—like Ms. Co Loan, who makes the most delicious che trai cay (sweet coconut dressing on fresh fruit) in town.
Once you’ve had your fill, Tien will whisk you off to a couple of photo-worthy spots, like an authentic local temple and a bridge all lit up against the dark of the night.
About Phan Tiet
Located just 15km from Mui Ne, Phan Thiet is a fairly big city with tons of awesome eateries tucked away in its streets. The thing is, very few (if any) tourists frequent Phan Thiet; so it’s not uncommon to find you’re the only non-locals roaming around the town.
Phan Thiet a bona fide ‘off-the-beaten-track’ spot, and this brand new tour is the first of its kind in the city– which makes it all the more special for any adventurous travellers ready to give it a go.
It takes about 20 minutes (each way) to reach Phan Thiet by car from Mui Ne; and our driver will bring you there and back, hassle-free.
